Placing bids to a project |

As a expert, you can make bids to a project from a specific Project Detail’s screen. In order to get to this screen, you can either search for a project using the Search Project feature, or click the project’s title from a list of Latest Project, featured Project, All Project, etc.
Explanation about the fields displayed in Project Details page:
- Project Categories – the category/s in which the Project Exists Project Status – the status of the project
- Creator / Buyer – the creator of the project, most likely is a Buyer user type. You can view his avatar, name along with the exclusivity of his account (“special” or not), and his rating. Click on the name/avatar of the buyer to view his profile screen.
- Featured – this is the exclusivity of the Project in the website, whether it is “Featured” or not.
- Starting Date – this is the date when the project will start.
- Expires – This field displays the length of time in which the Project would expire. After it is expired, Experts won’t be able to Place their bids to this project anymore.
- End Date – this is the date when the project is expected to finish.
- Minimum Budget -- the minimum budget allocated for this project
- Maximum Budget -- the maximum budget allocated for this project
- Location – the location of the project
- Description – this is a short description provided by the creator to describe the project
- Project File – this is a project file available for download. This file typically contains further detailed description of the project. Click on the “Download” link to download the file.
Explanation about the two buttons on placed under the Project Title:
- View Project Forum – Click on this Button to enter the Project’s Forum. See the “About a Project’s Forum” Section for more explanation regarding this feature.
- Place Bid – Click on this button to Place your bid toward the project. Please note that this Button will only appear for Experts. After you click it, you will be directed to a Form for Placing Bids.
Form for Placing Bids
- Buyer – The Buyer of the Project
- Your bid for the total project – input your bid accordingly between the project’s minimum and maximum budget.
- In how many days can you deliver a completed project ? – fill this with your estimation of the number of days you need to complete the project. Measure it wisely against the buyer’s request.
- Provide the details of your bid – use this field to further detail your bid.
- Notify me by e-mail if someone bids lower than me on this project – select yes to confirm that, otherwise select no.
- Click the “Save” Button to place your bid, or the “Cancel” Button to discard changes and go back to the project Detail’s screen.
- Once you have placed your bid, then it will be displayed in the “List of Bids” table along with bids from other freelancers (if any exist), just below the Project Detail’s Screen.
